Kellogg's Scottish Swimming Awards Scheme

The Adult & Child Swimming Prgramme has been designed for the siwmming teacher or parent/guardian to introduce the child to the water environment in a structured and safe way.

These awards aim to provide the adult with the working knowledge of a range of skills to handle the child in the water with confidence and safety, including an understanding of safe submersion of the child and correct handling techniques, and at the same time providing a stimulating and enjoyable programme which is underpinned by the understanding of the child's development.

On completion of each level, a Kellogg's Scottish Swimming Award is available to reward the swimmer's achievement.

Please note the children participating in any of the awards in this category should be at least 4 months old and have received their triple medical injections.

The child must be under supervision of an adult in the water at all times during the teaching session.
