Approved Satellite Centres

Scottish Swimming is the training provider for the UKCC Aquatics and ASA qualifications in Scotland. Centres wishing to deliver Scottish Swimming UKCC or ASA qualifications from September 2007 are required to achieve approved satellite centre status.

Download the approved satellite centre guidance document and application forms.

Centres currently holding approved satellite centre status will need to re-apply in 2008 if they wish to continue to deliver Scottish Swimming UKCC Awards or ASA qualifications. The new forms will be available on the website shortly.

As the Training Provider and Hub Centre for UKCC aquatics qualifications and ASA qualifications in Scotland, Scottish Swimming is required by the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) and ASA to monitor and evaluate the delivery of these qualifications at all centres approved to deliver them. Therefore, all ASA and Scottish Swimming UKCC courses qualifications to be held in Scotland MUST be registered initially with Scottish Swimming, and within the time frames given.

Only approved satellite centres will be able to deliver and assess programmes or courses leading to SQA UKCC or ASA qualifications. In addition candidates wishing to achieve a SQA UKCC or ASA qualification will only be able to do so at an approved satellite centre.
