Learn to Swim

Splish & Splash, our children who love the water, motivate and encourage swimmers as they progress through the eight levels of the Learn to Swim Programme with their Learn to Swim Awards. Each swimmer can apply for a cloth badge (looks great on your swimming towel!) and a certificate with their name on it signed by the CEO of Scottish Swimming.

As well as having badges and certificates for levels one through to eight, we have now introduced progress certificates, which provide an incentive to children who have not achieved all criteria for that level and will not be moving on. This is also a useful tool to provide parental feedback, advising parents what criteria requires more work.

To complement the programme and to help track development Learn to Swim now has its own swimmer log card, which provides parents with valuable feedback. These log cards are available with or without the stickers used to mark the levels achieved, and both cards and stickers are waterproof enabling children to take them on poolside.
