Swim School Associate Status NEW!
Swim Schools can be defined as “An organisation, other than a Club, that teaches swimming and have staff who would benefit from registering with SASA as either Teacher/Coach and Tutors’. They can be voluntary (club); public (local authority) or private (company).
A proposal went through transferring our existing “Swim School” category from associate status (no insurance/no vote) to “affiliation status” (insurance and vote). The membership year commences 1st March – 28th February. Your Swim School must be affiliated to Scottish Swimming in order for your teachers/coaches and tutors either in membership or employed staff to become registered members with us.
Members of this category will be organisations other than clubs, that teach swimming and have staff who would benefit from registering with SASA through our Teacher and Coach (£11.50) and/or our new Tutor (£30.00) category.
The cost of applying for associate status for a swim school is £200.00. For more information on the application process and an application form, please visit our swim school section within the downloads.
Where your membership fees goes!
Swimming is a life skill as well as a sport. Scottish Swimming is committed to ensuring every child in Scotland has the opportunity to learn to swim in a fun and safe environment. This skill could save their lives one day and also provides them with the opportunity to lead a healthier lifestyle. Your fees support our continuous development in the areas of club support, teacher/coach support, and athlete support. We plough money into the swimmer pathway through our sport to ensure talented swimmers are identified and nurtured. The right support will ensure we continue to build on our successes as one of Scotland’s most successful sports on the world stage.
