The Swim Series and Come and Try events are primarily for adult swimmers who would like to take part in coached sessions. The events are open to all and are fun and informative. Always wanted to improve your swimming ability or to increase your stamina?

Come along and have a go! Places are limited and are available on a first come first served basis. Our Come and Try events are ideal for those trying open water for the first time. We guide and support adults and juniors age 10+ through the whole experience from wetsuit hire to safety briefings, acclimatisation and expert coaching.

You will learn drafting sighting and swimming technique to build your confidence and skills in open water. We have all the safety supervision you need and it's great fun too!

Our Open Water Come and Try and Open Water Swimming Festivals, also have events for juniors as part of our family fun opportunities and allow you to be a bit more adventurous and swim the distance that suits your ability.

District events across Scotland host participation challenge events for those not yet ready for competition but who want to try swimming half mile or a mile.

We also offer swims of 200m, 400m and 800m at some of our open water festival events for adults and juniors with the option of an Aquathlon organised by Triathlon Scotland.
