Scottish Swimming are seeking two Regional Swimming Development Managers (RSDM) and a newly created position as our Discipline Development Manager (DDM). These posts are to support Scottish Swimming members by developing stronger, sustainable clubs with inclusive opportunities for people to participate and contribute across all areas of all our sports.


We are looking for three enthusiastic, self- motivated individuals with excellent leadership, communication and negotiating skills as well as the ability to enthuse and motivate others. 


The RSDMs Key Functions are:

  • To ensure inclusive, safe and quality environments for all members 
  • To support the growth of sustainable clubs that engage, recruit and retain members to grow the sport and supports athlete journeys
  • To improve links and the transition from Learn to Swim into Clubs 
  • To ensure a valued and connected community of volunteers 
  • To support all clubs achieving and maintaining Aquamark accreditation 


The Grampian & Tayside post covers Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee and Perth and Kinross. The Central & West post covers Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk, Clackmannanshire and North and South Lanarkshire.


The DDM Key Functions are:

  • Provide operational support and guidance to help achieve the aquatic disciplines development plans.
  • Work across all disciplines to develop a coordinated approach to improve events, competitions, education, and workforce.
  • Support disciplines to increase their membership recruitment and retention.
