Be responsible for driving forward club development – showing, selling & making the vision a reality - effectively the marketing and PR for AASC. Day to day this person will be the key link between our SwimSkills4 and Club Ready LTS sessions & lower club training sessions.

In addition, this person may be required to diplomatically deal with any developmental issues that arise. The key goal will be to grow participation and club membership by increasing the percentage of LTS swimmers committing to move into other sections of the Club. Link the LTS & Club to school swimming, using Active Schools teams and development staff, to create meaningful partnerships.

Work alongside RSDMs to create a long term vision and development plan for the club that will ensure long term sustainability. In addition, this key resource will be required to attend and actively contribute to club committee meetings.

Identifying what training and other resources are available and ensuring that these are maximised in their benefit to the Club – these resources coming from: Scottish Swimming; Districts; Local Authority/Trust; local college / universities; education sector.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Design, plan & implement projects to attract new members to the Club
  • Attract and retain volunteers by greeting parents and recruiting them as volunteers, as well as supporting existing volunteers
  • Arrange teacher & coach education and development opportunities for Club members, on-site where possible
  • Prepare and present reports and giving presentations
