Aberdeen University Swimming and Waterpolo Club (AUSWPC) is aimed for students to continue to swim during their time at university. The club is made up of swimmers of all abilities and standards, many compete regularly for the university, others swim for fitness and there is a large social aspect to being a part of the club.

There are five training sessions throughout the week at Aberdeen Sports Village, Aquatics Centre. Monday - 20:30-22:00 Tuesday - 20:30-22:30 Wednesday - 13:00-14:30 Friday – 18:30-20:30 Saturday – 17:00-18:30

There are currently 20 active members of the club and we aim to increase this number year upon year. The team competes at interuniversity competitions, including British university and college sports (BUCS) short course and long course competitions. Aberdeen university swim team are currently in the top league of Scottish university swimming and we wish to improve our position in the league. Our other aim is to affiliate the club so that our members can compete in competitions outside of the university competitions. We wish to get stronger, faster, better as individuals and as a club.

The club is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, confident individual with experience in swimming and coaching. The role involves coaching students of all swimming capabilities; from teaching the fundamentals to fine tuning technique so that the swimmers can perform their best at competitions. It is expected the coach provides session plans for all the varying capabilities, as well as attending the interuniversity competitions.

It would also be expected that the coach would be involved in the weekly committee meetings run by the committee members.
