Our Swimming teachers instil a lifesaving skill, the ability to swim. All abilities and ages are welcomed and as a Swimming Teacher, you will be expected to run sessions effectively and efficiently, setting up and maintaining equipment, undertaking appropriate administration and adhering to safeguarding and company policies. To plan lessons, so that individuals' needs can be met, and to enhance their experience and make the best progress with each child/adult in the programme.

Personal Specification:

KNOWLEDGE * Working knowledge of teaching swimming. * Clear understanding of Health & Safety procedures applicable to our LTS programme. * Practical knowledge of the role areas

SKILLS * IT literate – ability to use PC based packages * Good interpersonal & motivational skills * Customer care skills * Ability to relate to children of various ages. * Communication skills and ability to tailor communication depending on audience * Time management

EXPERIENCE * Experience of coaching and/or working with children * Experience of key activities of swimming

EDUCATION/ TRAINING * Possession of ASA/ SSTQ/ Swim England/ STA/ UKCC Level 2 or equivalent required as a Swimming Teacher * NPLQ/ NRASTC or equivalent is Desirable

PERSONAL QUALITIES * Self motivated * Flexible Approach - to working hours * Adaptable * Approachable – customer focused * Team player * Can work on own initiative * Ability to work under pressure * Inclusive and respectful

DRIVING LICENCE * Full current driving licence and access to car is Desirable
