Due to recent growth, Bridge of Don Amateur Swim Club [BODASC] are looking for qualified swimming coach to lead our Masters Squad. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver squad sessions within a competitive programme in Aberdeen.

Positions available:

  • Gold Squad Lead Coach [up to 5 sessions per week] competitive rate of pay

Main Functions:

  • Carry out your duties in a professional manner and be able to cover other squads when required
  • Attend competitions to provide feedback and support to swimmers and other coaches
  • Follow codes of conduct and child protection policies
  • Provide a yearly plan to the head coach and to ensure that sessions plans are prepared and evaluated
  • Attend training and coaches meetings when required
  • Attend feedback meetings [1:1s] with the Head Coach and undertake 1:1s with junior coaches where required
  • Communicate with all swimmers, parents and other participants of the sport in a polite, professional and friendly manner
  • Complete any task that is considered necessary to ensure the effective running of the club
  • Committed to supporting the pathway from Learn to Swim through the club squads and into UoA [University of Aberdeen Performance Swimming]

Qualifications & Professional Membership:

  • Membership of SASA
  • Qualified to UKCC Level 2 Coaching/Swim Teacher or qualified to Level 1 and prepared to undertake relevant training to successful qualification at Level 2
  • PVG Membership for Regulated Work with Children or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made
