Bridge of Don Level 2 Coaching Opportunities

Bridge of Don Amateur Swim Club [BODASC] is currently looking for a minimum qualified Level 2 swimming coach.  This is an exciting opportunity to deliver squad sessions within a competitive programme in Aberdeen.  Candidates must have experience coaching at a minimum of district level, with a preference of coaching at national level.

Positions available:

• JS4 Squad Lead Coach [squad sharing may be considered]. The squad swims up to 7 times a week so communication with other coaches is essential.  Competitive rate of pay.

 Main Functions:

• Carry out your duties in a professional manner and be willing to cover other squads when required;
• Attend competitions to provide feedback and support to swimmers and other coaches;
• Follow codes of conduct and child protection policies;
• Provide a yearly plan to the head coach and to ensure that sessions plans are prepared and evaluated;
• Attend training and coaches meetings when required;
• Attend relevant meetings out with usual poolside hours;
• Communicate with all swimmers, parents and other participants of the sport in a polite, professional and friendly manner;
• Complete any task that is considered necessary to ensure the effective running of the club; and
• Committed to supporting the pathway from Learn to Swim through the club squads and into UoA [University of Aberdeen Performance Swimming]

Qualifications & Professional Membership:

• Membership of SASA;
• Qualified to UKCC Level 2 Coaching/Swim Teacher; and
• PVG Membership for Regulated Work with Children or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made
