circa £26,000 negotiable dependent on qualification and experience of the successful applicant.
Closing date:

This is an exciting opportunity to take on the role of Performance Head Coach for the highly successful performance programme at FIRST. The programme gives local age-group swimmers, who have the drive, commitment and the motivation it takes to be part of a performance squad, the chance to become the best competitive swimmer they can possibly be at Senior, National, British and even International level.

Previous Head Coaches of the programme such as Steve Tigg and Chris Jones have gone on to coach swimmers at the highest level and our current coach Monica Borland is regularly invited to coach Scottish and British junior national teams.

FIRST has also seen swimmers such as Charlotte McKenzie (British Junior International), Ross Muir (Commonwealth Games finalist) Kieran McGuickin (Commonwealth Games medalist) and Olympic & Commonwealth Medalist Duncan Scott progress through the FIRST programme as part of their highly successful swimming journeys. We enjoy representation within the Scottish Swimming performance squads, at Scottish & British National competitions and also European Junior Competition, regularly exceeding expectations given the numbers of swimmers in the programme.

FIRST receives significant support from both Scottish Swimming and Falkirk Community Trust. The support is practical with access to excellent local facilities and the National Swimming Academy 50m pool, Stirling University as well as financial. Our swimmers are all dedicated to their chosen sport and fully embrace the performance culture of our squads which emphasises commitment to training, competition and an open mindset towards self-analysis and improvement.

We are looking for a dedicated, dynamic and enthusiastic individual with experience of performance coaching, a member of ISTC, BSCTA, Scottish Swimming or ASA, PVG registered and preferably qualified to UKCC level 3 to take on this exciting role on a contracted services basis.  Payment for services would be circa £26,000 negotiable dependent on qualification and experience of the successful applicant.
