F.I.R.S.T. are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Head Coach to oversee, coordinate and progress the successful development of performance swimming in the Falkirk region. 


F.I.R.S.T. is a performance composite team formed of the most ambitious athletes from the home clubs of Falkirk Otters, Grangemouth Amateur Swimming Club and Bo'ness Amateur Swimming Club. We have 2 squads: Age Group and Youth. Our swimmers are looking to fulfil their potential and perform at the highest level of competitive swimming from District Meets to National Squads.


As Head Coach, you will continue to lead the development of the swimmers providing a vision, leadership and expertise for ongoing improvement. You will collaborate with coaches in the home clubs and have support of an assistant coach.

Responsibilities include providing technical direction for the club, coach development, planning and delivering pool sessions, coordinate session cover (utilising additional coaches) and attending competitions. Attendance at appropriate competition will also be required as part of the job role and will be inclusive of the role agreement.

Interview Process


Initial interviews will take place in person in the week beginning 13th June 2022 and will involve a 10 minute presentation to the recruitment panel on the topic of 'The 2022-23 F.I.R.S.T. Season of Success' and a practical coaching session with one of our squads
