The Club competes throughout the semester in the Scottish Student Sport (SSS) league with major meets at British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championships three times a year, in short course, long course and team formats. The Club also competes in various other annual events such the Scottish Universities Aquatics Championship which we attend with around 30 swimmers.

The Head Coach role will primarily focus on the development of the team and competitive swimmers within the club. There will be a requirement to work with less experienced swimmers but the club has a strong support system of volunteer coaches to assist with this side of the programme. The ideal candidate will be someone who is driven, with an in-depth knowledge of the sport who can help us achieve our goals. The Club are looking to fill this position by early September 2015, in time for pre-season traunung begin before the main university term.

This is an excellent opportunity for an upcoming or well-established coach to develop their skills at a high level of swimming.

Applicants should hold, or be working towards, an ASA UKCC Level 2 Coaching Certificate; extensive relevant experience will be considered in lieu of this qualification.
