Posted: 24 February 2020 Head Coach Organisation: North Ayrshire Swimming Club Location: Largs, Glengarnock, Irvine and Stevenston Job Type: Full-Time Hours: Various poolside and administrative Salary: Competitive Closing date: 13 March 2020 Duration: Permanent on completion of 6 month trial period Apply North Ayrshire Swimming Club are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Head Coach to oversee, coordinate and continue the success of North Ayrshire Swimming. Gala attendance for pertinent meets would also be required as part of the job role and will be inclusive of the full time status. As Head Coach, you will continue to develop the swimmers of the club, providing a vision and ongoing improvement in all areas (Development to National, including masters). You will, with the Junior and the club coach, be responsible for overseeing volunteer coaches and poolside assistants and providing assistance to them where required. Administrative tasks will include planning and delivering pool sessions as well as organising session cover (utilising additional coaches) and attending meets providing technical feedback to swimmers. The role will also involve developing swim session cycles for all squads throughout the season. North Ayrshire is a friendly but competitive focused club. We are an ambitious club who have undergone a period of expansion in recent years, from our development programme to our performance squads as well as expanding our masters section. The successful candidate will: Hold an ASA Level 3 coach (preferred) -2 (essential) qualification and have experience of working with swimmers at all ages. Have a good working knowledge of long term athlete development and an interest in the benefits of land work to develop swimmers.
