We are a friendly, local development Club and will support you on your journey. Burntisland ASC is a friendly and inclusive club based in Burntisland and attracting members from a wide surrounding area in Fife. We were formed in 1889 and continue to go from strength to strength as a safe, caring and professionally managed SwimMark Club. Swimmers of all ages participate, developing through our 5 squads, including those aiming for SNAGS times and a small Masters section. We are currently looking for a Head Coach to join our established coaching team. In this position you will be responsible for leading a squad of 25-35 swimmers, helping them achieve their full potential. You will be an ambitious and creative individual with the energy and enthusiasm to inspire and bring out the best in our swimmers. This position may be particularly attractive to someone looking to start their coaching career, or as a stepping stone to a Head Coach position at a larger club, or even an established Coach looking for a smaller Club/less hours. BASC offers a fun and friendly environment and an expanding membership. We have an active management committee and, in order to enable them to focus on coaching, our coaches have very limited involvement in administration. We are proud of our community roots and have a record of developing swimmers to DRP and national level, and we run initiatives to support inclusivity such as our hardship fund. Coach development is extremely important to us and we will offer support to further develop the successful candidate through the national qualification programme. If you are new to coaching our qualified coaches will be on hand to provide mentoring and support. This is a voluntary position, however full expenses are paid to and from training and for competition days, and as well as mentoring we provide financial support for coaching qualifications. If you have what it takes to be part of the future success of our club, we would love to hear from you. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with a short summary of what you can offer BASC and to arrange an initial discussion.
