KKASC have experienced exponential growth over the last 18-24 months. As part of our four year club development plan we have launched two new aquatics sections: Synchronised swimming and Water Polo while continuing to grow our levels of membership within our core Swimming section to unprecedented levels. As a result of these developments and the exciting progress made within our club, KKASC now seek to recruit a part-time head coach to lead and develop our swim team from the entry level squads through to those on our emerging performance pathway programme. The key strategic focus areas for our Head Coach position are: Lead, manage and develop the competitive swimming and performance pathway programme Oversee and facilitate the development of our full squad structure. Lead and be accountable for the continuous development and performance of our committed volunteer coaching team and land trainers. Build connections and relationships with other aquatics clubs and Scottish Swimming The main operational duties for our Head Coach include: Organise all coaching of the competitive swimmers in the Club, taking specific responsibility for coaching our A squad Develop and maintain a coaching programme for all levels of competitive swimmers within the Club Supervise and manage the other Coaches as appropriate, including performance and development conversations Determine the competitive strategy for committed competitive swimmers within the Club including external and internal competitions Organise our coaches to accompany swimmers to appropriate competition To represent the Club at meetings as appropriate to develop club and as requested by the Management Committee. Liaise with: other local swimming teaching agencies to ensure a smooth pathway for swimmers into the Club the Management Committee on ongoing basis parents on matters concerning the progress of Club swimmers Are WE what you are looking for? Do you possess a UKCC Level 3 Coaching qualification, or are you currently at Level 2 and working towards Level 3? Would you be committed to gaining and maintaining a Scottish Swimming level 3 coach licence and to completing a PVG scheme application?
