Posted: 15 March 2022 National Swimming Committee Chair Organisation: SASA Job Type: Voluntary Closing date: 10 April 2022 We are seeking expressions of interest for the positon of National Swim Committee Chair Role National Swimming Committee Chair Key Relationships National Swimming Committee Members; - District Swimming Convenors - National Events Convenor - National STO Convenor - Scottish Swimming National Coach, Disability Performance Development Manager, Director of Aquatics - BSCA Coach Representative National Discipline Convenors Additional Scottish Swimming staff when required Key Tasks Convene and chair meetings of the National Swimming Committee (approx. 6 per year, majority online) including agreement of Agenda. Attend meetings of National Chairs (approx. 3 per year, majority online). Support the Committee in carrying out its duties and roles including; 3.1 Support the National Events Convenor with the delivery and management of National Swimming Championships and Events. 3.2 Support Committee with Calendar Planning and maintenance of a National Calendar Prepare reports on behalf of the Committee. 3.3 Formulate Regulations and submit to the Company Board on behalf of the Committee with support from the Editorial Board by 31st May each year. 3.4 Submit Annual Report to the company by the 31st July each year. 3.5 Submit list of meeting dates to the company by 31st July each year. 3.6 Submit the committee’s recommendations for fees and fines by 31st July each year. 3.7 Issue interpretations on application of Regulations. 3.8 Support Committee with the control and issue of Licences. 3.9 Make recommendations for co-opted members to the Board, for approval on behalf of the Committee. 3.10 Support the Committee and Scottish Swimming with the ratification of Records. 3.11 Support the Committee in making recommendations for nominations and to prepare citations (or ensure that this is actioned) on behalf of the Committee. 3.12 Support the co-ordination of Swimming activities in the Districts, communicate decisions and recommendations. 3.13 Respond to questions and enquiries from Scottish Swimming and Districts either personally, or by referring as appropriate 3.14 Submit a proposed budget to the Company and manage the Committee Budget. 3.15 Manage Health & Safety at events run on behalf of Scottish Swimming Provide input to Scottish Swimming on occasion through involvement with working groups. Assist with the implementation of Scottish Swimming strategies with the Committee.
