REN 96 Swim Team is seeking to employ an experienced, dynamic and passionate performance development swimming coach to drive forward the vision of REN 96;

To create an inclusive competitive swimming club that is dedicated to performance and excellence, and aims to provide the best swimming development programme while seeking to maximise the individual potential of young swimmers and Masters alike throughout Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire.”

REN 96 is based in Renfrewshire/East Renfrewshire and has a membership of 350 swimming members, ranging from younger development stages through to masters swimming. The club aims to create an environment that is conducive to producing dedicated and motivated swimmers, providing a clear route for swimmers to reach their full potential through personal, technical and life skill development.

The club provides comprehensive programmes in both competitive and non-competitive swimming, catering for swimmers of all ages and abilities, from entry-level through to competing at National, British and International level.

We are currently seeking to appoint a UKCC level 3 or equivalent Performance Development Coach with a proven track record of successful athlete development to assist with the development of the club and our senior swimmers.

This role presents an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is seeking to further their coaching experience and demonstrate their abilities through individual development of athletes and of our team as a collective.

Key Functions

  • Work positively and collectively with club coaches, swimmers, club management and volunteers to support the delivery of the ambitions and objectives of the REN 96 Swim Team
  • Lead, create and implement an effective daily performance development environment, focused on producing athletes capable of competing and achieving at the highest levels of the sport as youth and senior athletes.
  • Develop strong and positive relationships with swimmers, coaches, parents and club management as well as Scottish Swimming, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire Local Authorities.
