As one of Scotland’s most successful sport’s governing bodies, Scottish Swimming is seeking to appoint an ambitious individual.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, self- motivated individual with the expertise to provide leadership to a team of Regional staff to support and develop stronger, more sustainable clubs providing increased and quality opportunities for people to participate at all levels.

 

Excellent leadership, communication and negotiating skills are a must as well as the ability to enthuse and motivate others. 

 

Key Functions:

  • Lead the strategic development of the “Stronger Clubs” strand of the Scottish Swimming Corporate Plan through focusing on quality club and coaching environments, volunteer support and development and membership recruitment and retention, ensuring members remain within the sport for longer.
  • Effectively manage and support the Regional Swimming Development Managers ensuring work programmes, targets and impact are aligned to the development plan key priorities.
  • Lead and/or support the Performance Development Programme reviews in partnership with the Director of Aquatics providing strategic and operational support to further develop the delivery of PD programmes across Scotland.

 

The post will be based at Scottish Swimming HQ, on the University of Stirling campus, and the  successful candidate will  have the experience of successfully managing a team. Self-motivation and the ability to prioritise a busy workload will be key to meeting deadlines.
