Do you have what it takes to lead events for Swimming in Scotland?  

Following a very successful Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scottish Swimming is now excited and ready to drive forward the delivery of our National Events Strategy.

Based at the National Swimming Academy in Stirling, the Events Manager will provide leadership, motivation, and vision to the dedicated and voluntary national events team, inspiring them to achieve further success as a leading events provider.  As Events Manager, you will lead the development and support the delivery of key events in line with delivering the objectives of the Scottish Swimming Corporate Plan.  Your strategic planning, technical knowledge, communication and leadership skills will be vital, as you work closely with key groups and volunteers to deliver success.

Key Functions:

  • To work with the National Championships Events Convenors / Discipline Committees to ensure a consistent approach to all Scottish Swimming National Events.

  • To lead on the development, production, delivery and evaluation of Scottish Swimming events.

  • To agree, communicate and manage timelines and priorities on every project.

  • To provide administration and support to discipline and participation events,
    including identifying, applying for and reporting against grants.

  • To ensure a partnership approach to the planning and delivery of events by developing relationships with key partners.
