Following a very successful Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scottish Swimming is now ready to build on those results, working towards the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio and the next Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast, Australia in 2018. 

Based at the National Swimming Academy in Stirling, the National Coach will provide leadership, motivation, and vision to coaches and athletes, inspiring them to achieve further success on the world stage.  As National Coach, you will be a key member of Scottish Swimming’s Performance Team, responsible for the development of coaches, supporting the development of swimmers, enabling them to maximise their performance.  Your strategic planning, technical knowledge, communication and leadership skills will be vital, as you work closely with key groups to deliver success.

 Key Functions:

  • Work to develop, support and guide coaches across Scotland with swimmers at a performance and performance development level.
  • Lead on the technical development of performance coaching and swimming in Scotland.
  • Be responsible for the strategic planning, content and delivery of Scottish Swimming’s national programme.
