Remuneration: The Chair appointment is remunerated at the gross daily rate of £230 per day (non-pensionable). You will also receive reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses and reasonable childcare/carer costs incurred whilst undertaking Board duties. Time commitment: At present the anticipated time commitment for the Chair is around 6.5 days per month on Board business including attending events. There will also be periods when pressure of business will require additional time. Appointment details: Scottish Ministers determine the length of appointments for Board appointments. Appointments are normally for a four year term, with the possibility of re-appointment appointment up to a maximum combined length of eight years. The current Chair, Louise Martin, is standing down after an eight year term in May 2016.. Location: sportscotland’s Head Office is based in Glasgow, with other main offices in Edinburgh and Stirling. The Chair has the use of an office at our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices. Board meetings can alternate between sites, with occasional meetings held in other locations across Scotland.
