Scottish Swimming is seeking to appoint an ambitious individual to the position of Performance Programme Manager as a key member of the Scottish Swimming Aquatics team, ultimately working towards success for Scottish athletes on the world stage.  Adopting a cooperative approach with the  coaches, districts, clubs, swimmers, sportscotland Institute of Sport, British Swimming and other key partners is key to the success of this role. The role will require working closely with the Director of Aquatics and National Coach as you work in partnership to deliver Scottish Swimming’s ”supported athlete” targets, integral to the company’s Corporate Plan 2022-2025.

Key Functions:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Effective Athlete Development and performance aspects within the “Supported Athletes” section of the Scottish Swimming Corporate Plan.
  • Deliver a National Programme supporting the process of athlete development and self-determination.
  • Act as Scottish Swimming’s strategic lead for support services through agreeing the sportscotland/Scottish Swimming service level agreement for athletes and coaches.

The post will be based at Scottish Swimming HQ, on the University of Stirling campus, the successful candidate will be highly motivated and have excellent planning, organisational and communication skills. Self-motivation and the ability to prioritise a busy workload will be key to meeting deadlines.
