West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust is currently looking to recruit Swimming Coaches. We have 3 permanent contracts available and are also looking to build our register of casual Swimming Coaches. The successful post holders will deliver a range of swimming and water based activities to children, young people and adults across West Dunbartonshire facilities.

Swimming Coaches are responsible for delivering our extensive and high quality Learn to Swim programme. The qualification you hold will determine your eligibility to be either Lead or Assistant Level. Candidates applying for a Lead position must hold a minimum of a Level 2 Swimming Teachers qualification or equivalent. Candidates applying for an Assistant position must hold a minimum of a Level 1 Swimming Teachers qualification or equivalent. Please see attached job descriptions for further information.

We have 3 permanent contracts and multiple casual contract opportunities available to both Assistant and Lead Coach level applicants.

The permanent position hours and work patterns are as follows, if you choose to apply to one of these vacancies you will be ask to select your preference/availability in your application form:

20 hours per week - Monday –10.00am-12.00pm & 2.15- 5.30pm, Tuesday – 9.45am – 12.15pm & 3.15- 5.30pm, Wednesday – 2.15pm- 5.30pm, Thursday – 10.15am-11.45am & 2.15- 5.30pm, Friday – 10.45-12.45am.

17.5 hours per week - Monday – 2.45-6.15pm, Tuesday – 2.45 - 6.15pm, Wednesday – 12.45 – 2.15pm, 2.45pm- 6.15pm, Saturday – 8.45am-11.30am, Sunday – 8.45am-11.30am

15 hours per week - Monday – 3.15- 5.30pm, Wednesday – 3.15-5.30pm, Thursday – 2.15- 5.30pm, Saturday – 8.45am – 12.30pm, Sunday – 8.45am- 12.30pm

Casual - no fixed work pattern or hours per week, irregular service on a flexible basis as mutually agreed

**The permanent posts are part time/ term time posts and the advertised salary will be pro rata to the number of hours worked, any hours worked on a casual basis are paid at the equivalent hourly rate to the advertised salary**
