"We are currently recruiting the following posts:

• Part Time Swim Teachers (hours available vary between 4:20hrs and 20hrs per week) to include evening and weekend shifts Specifically, we are looking for teachers who are able to work within the West of the City however consideration will be given to all areas of Glasgow and we are happy to discuss this in more detail during your interview.

With a range of twelve fantastic swimming venues across the city, including Tollcross International Swimming Centre and the newly refurbished Scotstoun Leisure Centre; you will become part of a growing team of Teachers delivering high quality swimming lessons across Glasgow. Our programme is designed to offer the best opportunities for teachers to develop their teaching skills with support on hand from our Lead Swimming Teachers and Swimming Coordinators.

We have reprogrammed our classes based on our teacher feedback, to provide the optimum teacher and customer environment for Learning to Swim. Our lessons include an Early Years Programme, comprehensive Learn to Swim Programme and Adult Programme utilising the Scottish Swimming Framework.

As a large organisation, delivering a wide range of lessons throughout the week we can offer flexible working options and offer shift patterns with varying hours and work days. This is perfect for those with existing commitments, or those who are looking to make swimming their career.

We are looking for motivated Swimming Teachers who hold a Scottish Swimming Teaching Qualification (SSTQ) or equivalent UKCC Level 1 or Level 2 Teaching Aquatics qualification and have experience with teaching children.

Once recruited, we offer ongoing training opportunities to further develop you as a teacher through our programme of in-house training and CPDs’. As a large provider of lessons, we also offer our swimming teachers the opportunity to develop and progress through our recruitment pathway if interested.

This includes; Swimming Teachers, Lead Swimming Teachers and Swimming Co-ordinators. If you think this sounds appealing, come join our growing team of teachers and work for Glasgow! Please note successful candidates for the above position will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks. Salary for this post will be pro –rata.
