The Swim Centre was founded and built on the beautiful North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand in 1978 by UK swim teacher Anne Scanlon. The school's focus is on teaching 'learn to swim' predominately to children (babies, preschool, school age). We are proud of our reputation for being skilled and personalised in our approach, knowing our pupils and developing strong safe swimmers who demonstrate great technique in all strokes but most importantly have a strong foundation of water safety skills to fall back on when the unexpected happens. Over the years we have developed our private facilities to provide an ideal learning environment for children. Classes are small and held in clean beautifully warm 34c water so children can focus and teachers (you) can enjoy delivering patient, personalised tuition in a warm and comfortable teaching environment.

Our ideal teacher will have prior experience teaching 'learn to swim' and a passion for working with children. You will be joining a small team of experienced full time teachers, many who join us from the UK as they are familiar with our approach (you can check out our smiley faces on our website). You will be supported by our principal teacher Anne and we will offer advice and support to assist you with setting up your new life in NZ. This is a full time position with a guaranteed minimum number of hours. We teach throughout the year so your hours will be regular and you will not be negatively impacted by school holidays.

We can facilitate an immediate start if you are ready. Have the attributes and applicable experience? I'd love to hear from you! Please send your CV and photo to rochelle@swimcentre.co.nz

Skype interviews will be arranged to discuss this opportunity further with suitable candidates.

The closing date for applications is 5 March 2019
