The University of Edinburgh is seeking an ambitious Swim Coach to join its highly rated performance swim programme. This is a new and exciting position to help realise the University’s clear ambitions and potential in swimming. The University’s performance swim programme is supported by Scottish Swimming and Winning Students.

Applicants should have a demonstrable experience of coaching at performance level, with particular emphasis on talent identification and swimmer progression. You will support the Head of Swimming with shaping an inspiring and sustainable swim culture, with lead responsibility for coaching the University’s pathway squad, swimmer recruitment and coordinating ‘meet’ entries.

You will also be a team player, qualified to UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent), and primarily responsible for delivering top class coaching sessions as part of cutting edge year round plan to achieve optimal swim results. Working flexibly under minimal supervision are further expectations of this role, together with the ability to plan/prioritise well and play a leading role in a high performance and winning sport environment within one of the UK’s most highly respected, successful and impressive sporting universities.
