Warrender Baths Club, Scotland’s leading swimming club, is in a position to appoint a new coach for a squad in our development programme. You will be responsible for coaching a mixed squad of around 24 swimmers aged around 9 to 11 years for 4 sessions, totalling around 5 hours per week including one early morning session.

Key responsibilities, with which the Club will provide support, are as follows:

  • Designing and delivering the swimmers’ training programmes
  • Reporting to the Swimming Convenor and Head Coach
  • Administering the squad’s competition schedule
  • Ensuring that meet entries are submitted within deadlines
  • Attending meets at which your swimmers are competing at weekends
  • Preparing quarterly reports on attendance and performance for your swimmers

We are looking for a highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individual, preferably holding a UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification (or equivalent). You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to get the best from our swimmers.

The Club offers support with the administrative tasks forming part of this role and development and training opportunities through its coach mentoring programme.

This is a self-employed, part-time position with remuneration dependant on experience and qualifications.
