Warrender Water Polo - Junior Team Head Coach

Warrender Water Polo
Dependent on experience and qualifications
Closing date:
16 January 2015

Warrender Water Polo has been established for over 120 years with many of its athletes having represented their country at events ranging from the Home Nations to the Olympics. We coach players at all levels of the sport and currently seek applicants for the role of Junior Team Head Coach.

The junior section of Warrender Water Polo is at present very successful and we wish to build on this success. This is an ideal opportunity for an up and coming coach who wishes to develop their own coaching skills and support and mentoring will be provided.

The successful candidate will oversee the junior water polo section of the Club in Edinburgh. They will liaise with the other coaches in the junior section of the club to further develop and plan the coaching programme for the junior players, which is aimed at improving the standard of our junior teams. They will report to the Head Coach.

The Club is coach driven and has a committed and active Management Committee run by volunteers, allowing our coaches to concentrate on coaching. This is a self-employed, part-time position requiring a commitment of around 1.5 hours training time per week and attendance at around 20 matches per year. Travel to away matches is expected.

Remuneration dependant on experience and qualifications.

Applications close 16 January 2015 with interviews in week commencing 26 January 2015.
