Young Volunteer Programme

Scottish Swimming's Young Volunteer Programme (YVP) is a national strategy designed to engage and develop our young members between the ages of 13-25.

There are 5 programmes within the YVP and each programme will provide skills, knowledge and support to prepare and deploy young members to help build on Scottish Swimming’s incredible volunteer base across all disciplines and areas of work.

The YVP has created the following five programmes to target particular areas of work:

Young Leader Squad to develop Club Captains and improve retention rates.

Young Technical Official to recruit more technical officials.

Young Event Co-ordinator to support our events.

Young Ambassador Programme to create a national voice for the youth members in Scottish Swimming.

Club Poolside Helper to develop coaches and helpers within a club environment.

If you are a member of Scottish Swimming between the ages of 16 and 25 then you can sign up today by finding the programme that suits you and booking on the relevant course. Please note, if you are between 13 and 15 years old inclusive, you must submit your parents details.
