James Clegg Date Of Birth: 05 January 1994 Place Of Birth: Stockport, England Discipline: Swimming Inducted to Hall of Fame: 2018 JAMES CLEGG burst onto the scene winning bronze on his international debut at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Clegg finished third in the S12 100m butterfly event whilst also reaching the finals in both the S12 50m and 100m freestyle events. He went onto represent GBR at the IPC World Championships in 2013, winning a bronze medal in the S12 400m freestlye final. Training under the watchful eye of Mat Trodden at East Lothian Swim Team, Clegg was an inspiration to many of the younger swimmers on the Scottish team including his brother Stephen, who has since went on to medal himself at international level.
