Michael Jamieson Date Of Birth: 05 August 1988 Place Of Birth: Glasgow, Scotland Discipline: Swimming (breaststroke) Inducted to Hall of Fame: 2018 MICHAEL JAMIESON is an Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth medallist. Competing for TeamGB at the 2012 Olympics in London, Jamieson won a silver medal in the 200m breaststroke. He broke the British record three times in the process in heats, semi-final and then final, and came to within 0.12 of the previous world record. Only a new world record by Daniel Gyurta denied Jamieson the gold. He represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi (2010) and Glasgow (2014) winning silver medals for the 200m breaststroke. Jamieson now runs his own swimming academy in his home city of Glasgow and is coach at Natare West London.
