Birmingham 2022

Birmingham 2022 Logo

Birmingham 2022 will bring together 6,500 athletes and officials in one of the youngest cities in Europe, cheered on by a diverse, welcoming and sport-loving city. With 95% of the competition venues already in place, Birmingham 2022 has a strong platform for a successful Games with the existing Alexander Stadium at their centre. Since the Games were awarded in December 2017, the city has hosted the IAAF World Indoor Athletics Championships, Badminton Open Championships and Gymnastics World Cup. It has hosted more European and World championships than any other city in the UK.
