Scottish Disability Sport Time Banding System

The time banded system employed at all Scottish Disability Sport regional and national competitions, is successful largely due to its simplistic and inclusive nature. Under this system the stopwatch determines the class of each swimmer thus allowing entry to competition for swimmers of a wide ability level.

Swimmers are eligible to compete in the class as determined by reference to their last recorded time for a particular stroke over a specific distance.
