District Regional Programme The District Regional Programme (DRP) is an initiative run by the SASA Districts and the Scottish Swimming Performance Team, under-pinning the National Programme of Senior, Youth and Youth Development squads. It also provides an opportunity for coaches and swimmers alike to develop a greater understanding of many key areas of competitive swimming. The programme is designed to work along two strands; The first is to aid the development and education of swimmers aged between 11 and 14 (achieving criteria laid down in the National Selection Policy and Amendment Policy) along with coaches working within their clubs. The second strand is to ensure a positive learning experience for coaches with all levels of experience, enabling them to progress their knowledge and practice by working with and learning from each other.
