ANDREW MULLEN is in the Senior Gold Squad and has won medals at Paralympic, World and European events.

He came home from the Rio Paralympics in 2016 with three medals (two silver, One Bronze). Four years previously, he became the youngest Scottish Paralympian at the London 2012 games.

Andrew picked up two Silvers and two Bronze medals at the 2015 IPC World Championships in Glasgow. He qualified for his first IPC World Championships in 2013 where he lowered his own European record in the heats of the S5 50m Butterfly before claiming Bronze in the final on the first day of competition, securing his first medal on the world stage. He went one better claiming silver in the S5 50m Backstroke on day three and matched that with a second Silver in the SM5 200m IM, both in new British records. 

At the European Championships, Andrew has enjoyed plenty of success. Most recently in Funchal in 2016 he stormed to four Golds and a Silver, and in 2014 in Eindhoven he medalled in every event he entered. On his first appearance in 2011 in Berlin he scooped Bronze in the SM5 200m Individual Medley and Silver in the S5 50m Butterfly.

Away from swimming he is a fan of American sports, burning the midnight oil watching basketball and baseball.
