Scott Quin Place Of Birth: Edinburgh Current Club: Warrender Baths Club Current Coach: Kostas Kalitsis SCOTT QUIN is in the Senior Gold Squad and is a Paralympic, World and European medallist, as well as the current British record holder for short course 50m and long course 100m Breaststroke (SB14). He was chosen to carry the Olympic torch in Ashington in the lead up to the London 2012 Games and at the Rio Olympics in 2016 he took home his first Olympic medal, with a Silver in the (SB14) 100m Breaststroke event. At World level he took a Silver in front of the home crowd in Glasgow in 2015 and the follolwing year clinched Gold in Funchal at the IPC European Championships. He is one of swimming's great characters and a very popular member of his club and national squad. Out of the pool he enjoys lawn bowls and has won a few competitions. His main tips for the top are to work hard, speak the truth, remember where you started from but above all, enjoy what you are doing.
