Corrie Scott

Date Of Birth: 07 August 1993
Place Of Birth: Bellshill
Current Club: Edinburgh University
Current Coach: Chris Jones
Back A Rising Star:

CORRIE SCOTT has cemented herself as one of Scotland's top female breaststrokers, holding the record over 50m for that style. She's impressed on the international stage too, having won Bronze in 2014 at her home Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the 50m Breaststroke and competing in both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke events at the Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010.

At domestic level, Corrie picked up Bronze at the 2017 British Championships in the 50m Breaststroke, her second of that kind after claiming the same in 2014. At those same championships in 2014 she also won Silver in the 100m Breaststroke event.

In Scottish National Championships she is a three-time champion in 50m Breaststroke and in 2017 she won Gold in the 100m event for the same discipline, having previously taken a Bronze and a Silver.

Corrie's favourite quote: "It's not about how hard you can hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward," spoken by none other than Sylvester Stallone aka Rocky Balboa, epitomises her determination and a constant strive to do better. Swimming for the University of Edinburgh, Corrie combines her sport with studying for her degree in Chemistry.
