The Sainsbury's 2014 School Games is a multi-sport event for the UK's elite young athletes of school age.

The Sainsbury's 2014 School Games seeks to create an inspirational and motivational setting that not only provides our elite young sports people with the opportunity to thrive and perform at the highest levels, but encourages more young people to take part and succeed in sport. The Youth Sport Trust is proud to develop and organise the Sainsbury's 2014 School Games, which is supported by National Lottery funding from Sport England.

Eight teams compete in the School Games representing England North, England Central, England East, England South, Scotland North & West, Scotland South & East, Ireland and Wales.

There are four main competitive Swimming styles: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle. With 46 events in the Olympic and Paralympic timetable, any Swimming competition will always prove to be a fast and exciting day out! As a sport that requires dedication and passion, there are over 150 000 in the UK people who are also committed and involved in competitive Swimming.
