Thursday, January 30, 2014 We are live with our new website Fully responsive in a new look - The Scottish Swimming website Swim Buzz is the central hub for all social media news 'With an ever increasing amount of people using our website from mobile phones and tablets, we now have a solution in place that makes it enjoyable for all users to use the new website.' Markus Stitz, Marketing Development Manager We have launched our new website. The even better news is, we built our new site to be fully responsive, which means that it will automatically adapt to whatever device you use it from. The new Scottish Swimming website is the one-stop-shop for swimming in Scotland. The main navigation guides you into the six key areas of the site, Participate, Compete, Members, Aquatic Providers, News & Events and Live Hub. On the bottom of each page you can simply enter your postcode and find out which events happen near you, which pool is the closest and which club is in your area, and plan your journey with Google Maps. You can stay in touch with the latest social media chat, see the latest events and watch our latest video, all in one handy page. On the top right you can easily get to all social media channels, while on the bottom you can share the content through social media channels. Live Hub is where social media meets the new website – three dedicated channels, Swim TV for videos, Swim Live for streaming live events and Swim Buzz to bring you all social media channels in one place. A new media section will give journalists the ability to easily download full resolution publicity images, accredit for meets, browse video and audio interviews as well as the top Scottish swimmers profiles. For all jobseekers and employers, the new site features a job opportunities section, which also gives people the opportunity to submit aquatics jobs for us to advertise on the website. Are you looking for more information about Scottish Swimming? The About Us section features staff, board and council profiles, sponsorship opportunities and information on our key corporate events. Markus Stitz, Marketing Development Manager at Scottish Swimming, ‘We have had great response from our members and partners for our activities on social media channels and live streaming, and the website is now pulling all those activities into one portal, which makes it so much easier for people to keep up with the latest news. With an ever increasing amount of people using our website from mobile phones and tablets, we now have a solution in place that makes it enjoyable for all users to use the new website. The marketing team at Scottish Swimming, Dog Digital and people in our focus group have been working hard to make the site happen, and we are very happy with the result.’ The website was developed by Glasgow-based Dog Digital, who used their expertise in the sports sector to programme unique features for Scottish Swimming.
