Sunday, April 20, 2014 Hat-trick of Medals for Scottish Swimmers in Glasgow Andrew Mullen broke the European Record and secured the IPC Qualification Standard on Day 3 of #BPSIM2015 Andrew Mullen (Ren 96) was four seconds within the qualification standard for the IPC European Championships in the MC 50m Butterfly final. Mullen finished behind S5 World Champion Roy Perkins (USA) in 38.33 giving him 707 points. Carnegie’s Stefan Hoggan won gold in the MC 100m butterfly final. The S9 athlete finished in 1:06.66 giving him 702 points, while Craig Rodgie (Edinburgh University) won bronze in the MC 100m backstroke final. The S14 athlete finished in 1:05.11 which translates into 821 points. Other athletes to meet the IPC European Championships qualification time on the penultimate day included Sascha Kindred (S6 50m Butterfly), James Hollis (S10 100m Butterfly), Steph Slater (S8 100m Backstroke), Amy Marren (S9 100m Backstroke), Jack Thomas (S14 100m Backstroke) and Aaron Moores (S14 100m Backstroke).
