Mullen Powers to IPC Euro Champs Qualification Time

Day 2 of the British Para-Swimming International Meet 2014 in Glasgow saw Andy Mullen swim 20 seconds under the SM5 200m Individual Medley standard for the IPC European Championships Qualification time, touching home in 3:10.79.

Perth City youngster, Reagan Doig won silver in the girls 16 years/under 200m IM. The /SM14 classified athlete posted a time of 2:40.29 to claim her spot on the podium.

Scott Quin (Warrender Baths Club was 6th in the 200m IM final. The S14 athlete finished in a time of 2:22.86.

Bronze medallist from London 2012 Paralympics, James Clegg S8 (East Lothian Swim Team) finished 8th in the 50m freestyle final in 25.73, while S13 athlete, Fraser Kane (North Ayrshire), finished 4th in the 16 years/under 50m freestyle final.

The 2014 IPC Swimming European Championships will be staged in Eindhoven, Netherland from 4-10 August 2014.

The British Para-Swimming International Meet takes place at Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow from 18-21 April 2014.
