After making waves in the heats of the 400m Freestyle this morning Stephen Milne looked strong as he raced in the final of the same event this evening. As the whole field stepped up their game Milne gave it everything he had finishing sixth in 3:48.55. Ross Murdoch secured his place in the final of the Mens 100m Breaststroke after posting a new Scottish Record in this evening's semi-finals (59.33). Britian qualified first and second fastest for tomorrow's final with Murdoch touching just behind teammate Adam Peaty. On the other side of the World in China Duncan Scott was back in action on the second day of competition at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympics. Qualifying in an outside lane Scott showed impressive back-end speed finishing fourth and missing out on a medal by only 0.82 seconds in the 200m Freestyle final (1:49.73). Yesterday in Nanjing the 4x100m Freestyle Mixed relay team of Duncan Scott, Martyn Walton, Amelia Maughan and Charlotte Atkinson finished sixth. Scott led the team out and put Team GB in second place before Walton had the quartet in first at the midway stage. However, despite their best efforts, Maughan and Atkinson were unable to hold off the rest of the field and they touched home in sixth.
