I am delighted to be able to play a part in the opportunity to continue a strategic expansion of aquatic sports throughout the country in the next few years.” Marchbank also commented, "Scotland has a huge opportunity now to use the momentum of the Commonwealth Games to make sport more important to everyone and swimming is at the forefront. As a sport it already delivers a significant positive impact and means a huge amount to thousands of people. I'm thrilled to get this chance to support that community and its ambitions." Maureen Campbell has also been reappointed as Chair and commented on the new appointments, “We are delighted to welcome Kerry and Graeme to the Board of Directors. Their appointments strengthen the Board and ensures we now have a full complement of Director’s to guide the future direction of our sport.” The appointment of Christie and Marchbank to the Board of Directors brings the Scottish Swimming Board to its full complement with them joining fellow Board Directors Maureen Campbell, John Mason (successfully re-appointed), Win Hayes, Ian MacCallum, David Carry and Forbes Dunlop in ensuring Scottish Swimming is well placed for future opportunities and challenges.
