Come and Try Open Water is Back!

Join like-minded swimmers and be taught by experienced coaches in a great setting. After the success of our Open Water Come and Try Sessions last year Scottish Swimming is giving swimmers the opportunity once again to experience open water swimming in a safe environment. These sessions are great for anyone wanting to take part in a participation event or a competition.

Sessions for beginners are aimed at those who can swim but have never made the transition from pool to the open water, intermediate sessions cater for those who have experience in open water and would like to improve their technique or would like a little confidence boost. Advanced sessions are for those with good experience of open water swimming, wanting to learn new skills and techniques.

The following events are now scheduled:

Sat 6 June: The Helix, Falkirk, Start 10am (sessions for beginners and intermediate swimmers, including a session for junior swimmers)

Sat 11 Jul: Knockburn Loch, Strachan, Start 10am (sessions for beginners, intermediate and advanced swimmers)

Ahead of these events, tickets are still available to participate in the adult swim series in Stirling on 16th May and the 31st May, the latter of which is aimed at open water swimming. More details on these sessions can be found here.
