National Championships Attracts a World Class Entry

Tollcross International Swimming Centre will play host to an impressive line-up for the Scottish National Open Swimming Championships from 25 to 28 June 2015.

The event has come at the perfect time for the GBR squad to fine tune their preparations prior to the FINA World Championships in Russia at the start of August and athletes confirmed to race include Scottish Commonwealth Champions Hannah Miley and Ross Murdoch, World Record holder Adam Peaty, European Champions Jazz Carlin, Fran Halsall and Chris Walker-Hebborn, Olympic silver medallist Michael Jamieson, alongside a wealth of junior and senior swimming talent.

With such a great line-up Scottish Swimming, in partnership with Glasgow-based QTV Sports, are delighted to confirm that they will once again be broadcasting quality race footage from all finals via a free-to-air livestream from the Championships.  The stream can be found online at

Highlights of key races will also be available in real-time through Scottish Swimming’s Twitter feed and Facebook page with packaged highlights released via social media at the conclusion of each day's racing.

“With such a great calibre of athlete competing I am sure the atmosphere will be electric as our swimmers head off for a summer of International and national competition at both senior and junior level, while only 12 months out from Rio 2016. On behalf of Scottish Swimming I wish all athletes competing the very best.”

The competition will run over four days, 25-28 June 2015. Tickets for children can be bought for as little as £1 and for adults advance tickets start at £3 for heats and £6 for finals and will allow individuals to fast-track into the venue.
