2017 British Championships Dates Announced

Britain’s best swimmers and para-swimmers with ambitions of competing at their respective World Championships in 2017 will converge on Sheffield next year for the British Swimming Championships and British Para-Swimming International Meet in April.

The British Championships will see swimmers compete across six days of competition from Tuesday 18th to Sunday 23rd April. The event will be used as the British selection trails for the World and European Junior Championships, and the European Youth Olympic Festival.

Ponds Forge will also play host to para-swimming’s biggest domestic event, the British Para-Swimming International Meet. The event will run from the Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th April, which will see four action-packed days of elite level swimming.

This event will be the sole selection event for para-swimmers to qualify for the 2017 IPC Swimming World Championships due to be held in Mexico.

More information about both events can be found here. Tickets for both events will be available via the British Swimming website later this year.
