Thursday, April 27, 2017 Swimmers Nominated for Commonwealth Youth Games Nine swimmers have been nominated for the Commonwealth Youth Games Scottish Swimming has nominated nine swimmers for the Commonwealth Youth Games, taking place in the Bahamas in July. Nominations were submitted to Commonwealth Games Scotland earlier today and were based on performances at the Scottish National Age Group Championships in Aberdeen and most recently the British Swimming Championships in Sheffield. Swimming in the Commonwealth is a challenge with several of the world’s leading swimming nations to compete against. Racing in the Bahamas will be tough and we look forward to seeing these young swimmers learn from the experience and, hopefully, transition to Scottish and British senior teams in the future.” Any appeals should be made by Monday 1st May 2017, to which Scottish Swimming will respond by 5pm on Tuesday 2nd May, 2017.
