Countdown to Stroke Development Camps

135 young swimmers will descend on the National Swimming Academy at the University of Stirling this weekend to participate in this year’s Stroke Development Camps. Scottish Swimming has been running Stroke Camps for some time now and they are eagerly anticipated by swimmers & coaches for their value and fun. Technical Excellence is a key component of successful swimming and reinforcing elements of sound & efficient technique is a good habit for our younger swimmers to learn.

Each stroke will be led by a senior Coach with an elite, gold squad swimmer in attendance providing expert demonstrations of their selected stroke. The senior swimmers will also present to those in attendance on their career to date, performance progression and overcoming any challenges they may have faced. There will also be time for a Q&A session with the younger swimmers.

Performance analysts will also be on hand to film the swimmers as they develop their strokes.
